Cymatics (from Greek: κῦμα "wave") is the study of visible sound co vibration, a subset of modal phenomena. Typically the surface of a plate, diaphragm, or membrane is vibrated, and regions of maximum and minimum displacement are made visible in a thin coating of particles, paste, or liquid.[1] Different patterns emerge in the excitatory medium depending on the geometry of the plate and the driving frequency.

Starting January I will be teaching voice and piano at a local Marin school, and I will also continue to coach voice through private lessons and workshops at The Voice Lab.

Singing Circle in Sausalito

We have been doing some Singing Circles in Southern Cali for a little while. The next one I will be facilitating will be up North, in the beautiful Sausalito, surrounded by the lush green, oxygen and waters of the Bay Area.
